Can Your LitBuy Find Be Shipped? Check Batteries, Liquids and Restrictions

Check the exact item, route acceptance and destination requirements before a broad product category becomes a shipping assumption.

Product categories make browsing easier, but they do not describe every transport-relevant property. An electronics listing may include a battery; a fragrance may contain flammable liquid; an accessory may use a material subject to destination restrictions.

Make the acceptance check before relying on a shipping quotation. Discovering a problem after several items have been combined can turn a simple purchase question into a packing and routing problem.

Describe the exact contents

Save the product page and selected option. Ask for information you cannot establish from the listing, rather than making an optimistic guess from the thumbnail.

Item characteristic What to establish
Battery or powered device Battery type and whether it is installed, packed separately or supplied as a spare
Liquid, fragrance or aerosol Actual contents, form and quantity
Material or special-purpose product Material, intended use and any relevant product documentation
Multi-item set Everything included in the selected variant, including accessories

These fields help describe a shipment. They are not instructions for preparing dangerous goods for carriage.

Obtain acceptance from the actual service

DHL Express distinguishes restricted goods from goods it will not carry. It lists batteries, perfumes and aerosols among examples that can require review or approval, and tells shippers to consider destination-specific rules. That is evidence that acceptance matters, not permission to send these products on any agent route.

Check the current LitBuy prohibited-items notice, the precise route offered for your destination, and any written acceptance required. Purchasing acceptance, warehouse acceptance and transport acceptance should each be clear for the service you intend to use.

DHL also lists counterfeit goods as prohibited. An approval process for restricted goods does not make a prohibited item acceptable. A brand name or reference photograph in a directory does not establish authenticity.

Ask before consolidating

Example question:

I am considering item [link/variant] containing [known contents], for delivery to [country/postcode]. Can it be purchased, stored and carried on [route]? Please identify any required approval or documents and confirm whether combining it with the other listed items changes acceptance.

Keep the response with the quotation and parcel record. If the service cannot establish acceptance, leave the decision unresolved rather than treating a category icon as approval.

Re-check destination requirements

Carrier acceptance does not replace import permission. Use the destination-authority directory for the relevant country. Do not change an item description or omit a battery to make a restriction disappear.

If a product needs specialist handling, obtain instructions from the authorised service. This article does not provide packing, labelling or declaration instructions for dangerous goods.
